My Digital Runway: Life as an Account in Fashion Marketing

Senior Account Manager

Have you ever tried to align a client’s wishes, your team’s creativity, and merciless deadlines? If you haven’t – congratulations, you’ve spared yourself countless cups of coffee, endless email threads, and a few gray hairs. If you have – then you know exactly what it’s like to be an Account in a digital agency.

My job in a nutshell

I’m a translator. Not of languages, but of ideas. I translate clients’ dreams and goals into tasks and briefs, and then I turn the team’s (sometimes too artistic ) creative visions into clear, measurable results clients can understand and track.

Fashion – an industry where nothing is ever fast enough

Most of my current clients come from the fashion world, and to be honest, it’s like working on a fashion show that never ends. Trends change overnight. Collections have a shorter shelf life than a summer sale. Photos and campaigns have to look like they’ve stepped straight off the cover of Vogue.

And my job? My job is to fit all of that into a plan, a budget, and a digital strategy. In short: to turn chaos into glamour.

The challenges I love to hate

Client: “We want the campaign to go live tomorrow.”
Me: “Of course – if tomorrow starts in three weeks.”

Team: “We’ve got an idea that’s pure artistic genius!”
Me: “Fantastic! Now let’s see how we make that fit into a 15-second Reel or TikTok.”

Algorithms: They change faster than my Monday morning mood.

The secret behind the scenes – The team

Here’s the truth: without a great team, an Account Manager isn’t worth much. I can plan, strategize, and communicate endlessly, but without the talented, patient specialists behind me – designers, creatives, social media experts, performance wizards – everything would just stay up in the air.

Why do I still love this job?

Because fashion brings energy, rhythm, and aesthetics that are impossible to resist – especially for a Libra like me. I love watching a campaign come to life, from the first moodboard to the final Instagram post gathering hundreds of likes while website clicks keep growing. Even more, I love hearing a client say, “This is exactly what we wanted!” (even if it took a million variations to get there).

And in the end, I love that feeling of being part of an amazing team. I might not be the one on the runway – but without me, the show would probably never start on time.
